Arbor Mill had its first food truck event on Saturday, May 18 – and it was a great success.
Thank you to all who came along.
The BBQ food served up by Treemendous was delicious, the live music by Cheryl and Stephen Hunt was delightful, the pool was in full use, the children enjoyed various activities such as face painting, cornhole games, hula hoops, and horseshoe pitching – and the sun shone!
We had a large turnout. Treemendous catered for 200 people, and towards the end of their stint they were running out of food. The caterers said they would be very happy to come back to Arbor Mill.
The Welcoming Committee is delighted that the event’s success. Members Dawn, Ashley, Sandie, JoAnn and Helen put in a lot of time planning the occasion, and even donated items such as the face paints, the hula hoops, and the paper plates, forks and napkins for the cake to ensure everyone had a good time. The cornhole board and horseshoes were loaned by Jeff Locke, and the iced cake (which was gigantic, but nevertheless all eaten) was provided by the HOA.
The feedback has been positive, so it looks like we’ll be planning more of these in the future (and probably with two food trucks!). We’ll keep you posted.
